Spring's beautiful flowers and Belles in hoop skirts serve as a backdrop for the Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society's Annual Pilgrimage. This event offers tours of privately owned historic homes, a church tour, a Selma Shoppe featuring products made in Selma, and a twilight living history tour at Old Live Oak cemetery. Houses and churches vary annually so repeat visits are encouraged! Highlights of this year's event include accomplished en plein air artists painting in the gardens of the homes and museums on the tour and the Antique Car Show with fine examples of cars from each decade starting with a 1909 Hupmobile that has spent 100 years in Selma.
