HISTORIC PROPERTY SIGN PROJECT

Wouldn't you like to have one in your front yard?

The SDCHPS has purchased signage like the one pictured above, to be used to promote the historic nature of the homes in Selma and Dallas County.  The signs will have the house builder's name and the year constructed in white lettering.  We feel that these signs will help with identification of specific properties when one takes the wind shield tour offered by the Chamber of Commerce.  In addition to this, the signs will help promote historic preservation and awareness.  The price is set near cost and all proceeds, if any, from the project will be reinvested in our Historic Signs and Plaques Program, as well as, other preservation projects.

HISTORIC PROPERTY SIGNS OFFERED BY

THE SELMA-DALLAS COUNTY HISTORIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY

(SDCHPS)

Signs are priced at $150.00 each and are available to SDCHPS members only.

Applications may be made to SDCHPS by signing this form and agreeing to the following condition:

 1.  Payment will be made by check to SDCHPS.

 2.  Signposts and signs will be placed on city property, four (4) feet back from the curb unless otherwise agreed upon by SDCHPS because of lack of space ONLY.  Signs will be placed at the front of the property where they can be easily seen by car drivers.

 4.  Signs will remain with the property when the property is sold and lettering will not be changed.  New owners should agree to this as a condition of purchase.

 5.  Should new property owners not agree to these conditions, the post and sign will be reclaimed by the SDCHPS.

 I agree to these conditions and will have prospective purchasers agree to them as part of the property closing procedure.
