34th ANNUAL HISTORIC PILGRIMAGE AND ANTIQUE SHOW & SALE MARCH 20-22, 2009 |
Imagine the brick streets of Selma being traveled by these beauties! Experts in car restoration will host an exhibit of antique cars displaying one excellent example for each decade during Pilgrimage. The show will start with a 1909 Hupmobile classic, belonging to Dick Gibeon, the second owner of this car that has always been in Selma--the Siegels were the earlier owners. The Hupp Motor company introduced this classic at the Detroit Auto Show in February 1909. The company initially produced 500 vehicles--and we have one preserved here in Selma! The vintage automobiles will be on display on the lawn of Heritage Village at the corner of McLeod and Mabry Street across from Sturdivant Hall. Please come on by on Saturday between 9 and 5 to enjoy this impressive show of machinery. Points of Interest
